The Curiously Strong Peppermints are a Minneapolis-based psychedelic-pop band formed in 2004. Compared to early Flaming Lips, The Beatles and the bands of the Elephant 6 Recording Company, their music tends to be full of noisy guitars, banjos, glockenspiels, horns, reed organs and vocal harmonies, all swirling around bouncy pop songs with often abstract lyrics. They have self-released two albums: their debut Endless Fields of Poppy in 2009 and the concept piece Echoes From The Ultraviolet Fuzz in 2011.
